Mencal is an application designed to enhance your mental math skills by providing lessons and simple strategies to tackle more complex arithmetic problems. Unlike basic addition and subtraction tasks, Mencal aims to push your abilities further.

With Mencal, you can learn how to work with three-digit numbers, handle various types of fractions in addition and subtraction operations, as well as perform calculations involving multiplication and division. The app offers lessons followed by tests to evaluate your understanding of the methods taught.

<li>Same ten's digit, 1's sum to 10</li>
<li>38 × 32 = 1216</li>
<li><ol>
<li>Multiply tens place digit by itself plus 1 (3 + 1) × 3 = 12</li>
<li>Add two zeros to the end of step 1 - 12 ← 00 = 1200</li>
<li>Multiply the two one's digits together - 8 × 2 = 16</li>
<li>Add the results of step 2 and step 3 - 1200 + 16 = 1216</li>

<li>- Square numbers made up of 1's</li>
<li>- Square numbers made up of 3's</li>
<li>- Square numbers in the 90's</li>
<li>- Square numbers whose tens digit is 0</li>

<li>- Several other techniques for squaring different number patterns...</li>

<li>- Various standardized multiplication tricks such as same ten's digit, ones' sum is or isn't 10, multiply by 11, multiplying two different numbers by each other in specific ways, dividing numbers by certain specific values, among others.</li>
